Sweet P
While attending Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Sweet P started working in the underground club scene and began making her own unique attire. With growing interest in her designs, she decided to put together a small collection of club wear and sold it to a few local stores. Her line “Sweet P” morphed from club wear into a complete retro-inspired line. After five years she closed her business and went to work for someone else. She spent four years working as a designer at bebe. After that, she was approached to do a sleepwear line and decided to take the opportunity. After two successful years, she decided that sleepwear was too limiting in terms of design so she broke out on her own again.
Sweet P appeared on Project Runway Season 4. Having made it to the Top 5, Sweet P was able showcase much of her talent on national TV. She was also given a show in Bryant Park for Fall Fashion week 2008. For this event she created an entirely realized line. It encompassed everything from formal gowns to sportswear for a daring fashion forward woman.
August 20, 2009 Sweet P appeared on Project Runway All-Star Challenge where she landed 3rd place with high accolades from Diane von Furstenberg.
